Workshop outline

*£90 for 2 day Retreat £45 deposit upon booking with remainder due 1st August* Life as a teenager can be pretty tough. This Summer, TNM is inviting young minds aged 12-16 to a very special Wellbeing Retreat. 10am-2pm Day one: Wednesday 10 August - Wellbeing Cabin, Crawley Down Day two: Thursday 11 August - Hammerwood, East Grinstead This retreat is designed for teenagers who may be feeling the impact of the world around them. Our time together will; -Support them in understanding their brain and the process of thoughts, feelings and actions, whilst allowing core emotions. -Help them to identify their unique character strengths. -Enable them to consider what a meaningful connection to themselves and those around them looks like, and explore their ability to create healthy boundaries. -Encourage them to cultivate an attitude of gratitude and wonder.  -Allow them space to get creative and to understand their own coping strategies for those times when anxiety feels overwhelming. What do the days look like? We'll kick off day one at the cabin by settling in together with a gentle mind and body check-in, before exploring ideas around the brain, wellbeing and existing coping strategies. As the day continues there will be an opportunity to indulge in creative time with a range of materials including flowers, paint, clay and craft materials before experiencing the benefits of breath work, yoga and meditation. We will complete day one with an invitation to reflect and discuss common teen 'pressure points and solutions' and then close with a group relaxation, while taking in the scents of calming essential oils. Day two takes place in a tranquil private meadow in Hammerwood, (12 mins from East Grinstead), where we will be alongside my colleague Sharon and her herd of horses. This unique, immersive experience provides young minds with an opportunity to soak up all that nature has to offer, whilst taking part in equine assisted relaxation, creativity, yoga and meditation. This is an opportunity for young minds to tune into themselves and to consider their unique strengths and character. We'll finish our Wellbeing Retreat with reflection and intention setting, anxiety toolkit creation, and a Q&A. Children will need to bring a packed lunch to both days, although snacks and drinks will be provided. Day two takes place alongside horses but does not include any horse riding. Equine assisted work takes place on the ground. Everyone will leave with a wellbeing pack.
