What is The Nurture Meadow?

The Nurture Meadow’s mission is to support, encourage and inspire the emotional wellbeing of children and young people under the age of 16, using techniques rooted in Creativity & Play, Yoga & Mindfulness and Nature & Wonder.

My vision is to create a world where children understand their mind, their body and the connection between the two, enabling them to better manage and build their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The Nurture Meadow provides warm, knowledgeable, scientifically backed emotional wellbeing support and education for children ages 4-16, so that they are able to build a personal toolkit of strategies to support them in navigating today’s challenging world.
Children can struggle emotionally for a huge variety of reasons. From family breakdown to grief. From trauma to health conditions. From poverty to violence. From friendship or academic difficulties to a lack of self-confidence. From confronting thoughts on body image to social anxiety.

And with one in six children now facing mental health challenges, there has never been a greater need for emotional wellbeing intervention and education.

By combining child centered techniques, rooted in Creativity & Play, Mindfulness & Yoga and Nature & Wonder something special happens.

Young people become curious and start to find that inner knowing and sense of self.

From a place of security, they become better acquainted with big feelings.

They feel connected, enabling them to explore, accept and process, while building their resilience and confidence. They become empowered and skilled at balancing their reactions, growing familiar with coping strategies for difficult times. They are more open to accessing a positive mindset.

By supporting children and young people to have a greater understanding of their brain, their body, their nervous system and their mind, they build emotional awareness, and uncover a belief in their own deep-rooted magic, enabling them to be more comfortable in their skin, while allowing their uniqueness to shine, and better placed to experience emotional regulation.

Whether it's through proactive educational workshops in schools, yoga classes, one-to-one interventions with families, or working alongside local authorities, community groups and football academies, The Nurture Meadow provides non-judgmental, accessible mental health education and support for all children, in a way that lights them up and allows them to develop their own toolkit of coping strategies.
