Easter Holiday Workshop
Want somewhere that the kids can have some fun this Easter? Look no further.
This Easter, the popular Nurture Meadow workshop is back.
Designed especially for children ages 6-11, this session will build on the foundations of wellbeing, whilst encouraging children to get creative, move and celebrate the qualities and characteristics that are unique to them.
As the season changes we will begin with a hello to Spring and indulge the senses with nature craft. The children will then have some time for their own creative activities so that they can engage the right side of the brain and create in a way that feels positive to them.
Our time will then bring us together for some games and discussion around 4 big emotions - excitement, anger, fear and disappointment. We will embody each emotion, as we playfully explore what happens in the mind and body when that emotion comes to visit. Of course, a TNM workshop wouldn’t be complete without allowing the children to consider coping strategies, so we will encourage moments that bring to life ways to move big feelings through - from pen explosions to planks, to support young minds in developing their emotional regulation skills.
After a busy session, we will then slow the pace down and explore a yoga flow and story, before ending on a visualisation to introduce basic meditation skills.
Children will leave relaxed and empowered, with a certificate and small Spring gift.
This session is a drop off session. Drop off is at 10am and collection at 12pm.
The session price is per child and includes all creative materials and resources, in addition to a snack.
This is an inclusive session for all. If you, or your children have any specific concerns, disabilities, or uniqueness that you’d like to chat about then please do get in touch for a chat so that we can ensure they get the most from the workshop on the day.
Please encourage children to wear clothes they can move freely in, and bring a drink along too.
Family Fun
A Spring time workshop for all the family. Creativity, Mindfulness and Yoga to support and nourish.
This Bank Holiday weekend why not carve some time out to celebrate Spring.
In this family session we will mark the changing of the season with Spring craft and story - a perfect way to support connection and bonding with lots of opportunity for laugher and smiles.
This will be followed with mindful movement as we explore supportive yoga poses to help develop strength, focus and attention, to provoke calm and relaxation and to encourage children to think about the connection between their mind and body. As always, we will end with a visualisation to slow the pace down, introducing the principles of meditation in an engaging, child led way.
These workshops are for the whole family, with plenty of allowance for movement and wiggles. Don’t worry if you are concerned that your child won’t stay still, and pause with your view of traditional yoga practices. In these sessions, it’s not about being still for hours. Instead it’s about it’s building awareness, acceptance and self care practices that will create a solid foundation for emotional wellbeing and enhance family connections, while considering both the mind and the body.
This is an inclusive session for all. If you or your children have any specific concerns, disabilities, or uniqueness that you’d like to chat about then please do get in touch so that we are able to cater for you.
This workshop is open to adults with children ages 4-11. Please bring along a drink and wear loose clothing that is easy to move in.
