Back to school. 3 little words, but all sorts of feelings!
Is your child feeling anxious about going back to school? Are you worried about the transition from holiday mode? Then this session is for your little one.
The Summer holiday is a long break, and for growing minds, fear, worry, anxiety and nervousness can all present themselves as September arrives. The good news is, that’s ok! Mixed feelings are very common and natural when thoughts of school return. However, we don’t want those thoughts to get too big and out of hand.
Through a blend of Creativity & Play, Yoga & Mindfulness and Nature & Wonder, children will have the opportunity to address any back to school worries, to challenge those tricky, jumpy thoughts, and uncover their deep rooted courage and bravery.
This session will include:
A hello to core emotions and thoughts
Fun, creative activities to share and move worries through
A chance to explore the wonders of nature and to create a magic wand
Getting friendly with the their bravery and courage
Opportunity for playful movement and to tap into the mind and the body connection to ensure that tension isn’t being held in core muscles such as the shoulders and jaw.
Investment includes all creative materials, a drink and snack. Children will also get a goodie bag and certificate.
The session is SEND inclusive.
Parents are able to drop their children off and then collect them at the pick up time.
Sessions are kept small to avoid overwhelm, so book early to secure a space.
